— RED FORT —

Photography Guide

Is Photography Allowed at the Red Fort?

Yes, photography for personal use is allowed throughout the fort, but photography inside museums may be restricted. As a high-security "no-fly" zone, drones are strictly prohibited. Tripods and commercial filming are permitted only with prior approval from the Archaeological Survey of India.

Photo Spots

The Red Fort is full of stunning backdrops and architectural gems that make it a paradise for photographers.

Lahori Gate & Chatta Chowk

The grand entrance and bustling market corridor make an iconic opening shot.

Diwan-i-Aam (Hall of Public Audience)

The pillared hall where the emperor met the public is both historically rich and visually striking. Its highlights include the intricate carvings on the pillars and the white marble throne at the center of the hall.

Hayat Baksh Bagh

Ideal for quiet, scenic shots with the water channels and pavilions in view. Capture the elegant Zafar Mahal sitting between the two beautiful water pavilions, Sawan & Bhadon.

Diwan-i-Khas (Hall of Private Audience)

The Hall of Private Audience, once adorned with the legendary Peacock Throne, still carries regal energy, with ornate pietra dura-inlaid tilework at the bases of its columns.

Fort Walls & Bastions

Walk along the fort’s periphery for panoramic views and dramatic angles.
