Notes:

  • Student concessional tickets are given only on the identity card of the current year issued by a recognized educational institution

  • Entry is free for children up to 7 years of age

  • Tourists have free entry to Amer Fort on the following days:

    • 30 March (Rajasthan Day)

    • 18 April (World Heritage Day)

    • 18 May (World Museum Day)

    • 27 September (World Tourism Day)


Opening Hours

07:00 AM - 09:00 PM, all days of the week. Light and Sound shows start at 06:30 PM.

Note: Amer Fort is closed on the occasion of Dhulandi/Holi (March)

Online Ticket Booking

  1. Visit the Rajasthan OBMS official portal

  2. Choose Amber Fort as the place to visit (use the search bar)

  3. Click Book Now.

  4. Provide your email or phone number and submit the sent OTP

  5. Select Date of Visit

  6. Provide Member details of each type

  7. Enter the captcha text and click Make Payment

  8. Enter relevant payment details (UPI/Credit Card/Debit Card) on the payment gateway

  9. After successful payment, receive QR tickets in your OBMS account

Composite Ticket or "Jaipur Darshan"

You can buy a single composite package to explore 9 places in Jaipur. This package is valid for 2 days from the visit date selected at booking.

Common Questions

Can I purchase tickets in cash?

Yes, Amer Fort Tickets can be purchased in cash at the ticket office in Jaleb Chowk. Offline tickets levy a 2 service fee.

Are there restrooms inside?

Yes, there are paid restrooms inside the fort complex. They are well-maintained and easily identifiable by signage.

How do I reach Amer from Jaipur?

Amer can be reached by bus, taxi, or auto-rickshaw from Jaipur. Auto-rickshaws may agree to take you there for ₹150–₹200.

Can I visit Amer in the summer?

The Fort is open all year round. Plan your visit around sunrise or sunset, as Jaipur sees very high temperatures in summer.

How much time does it take to see the Fort?

The Fort can take 1.5-2 hours, but the entire town of Amer is well worth a half-day visit. Start early and walk down to visit the Jagat Shiromani Temple (Meera Temple), the Panna Meena Kund, and the Anokhi Museum. Take a GPS audio tour for step-by-step guidance.
